My name is Kate, I am 20 years old, and this summer will be my third year as a leader in the English Summer camp. While studying in the university I also work as a teacher of English in one of the educational centers in Moscow. One of my groups had five teenage boys 13-14 years old. It was the most difficult group for me. They were not motivated to study the language and showed distinct displeasure with the fact that parents forced them to attend the lessons. Probably, it was the first time when I seriously started to think about my own motivation. Why was I learning English and why do I still learn it? In my case, the answer is actually easy: I was always an excellent student and was always aiming to achieve the best results in every subject. Little did I know how many opportunities my efforts would bring me in the future.
